On April 9, 2010, the chorale incorporated in the State of Texas as a non-profit corporation. We adopted a new name, wrote and adopted by-laws, and established our mission statement. We assembled our own Board of Directors and hold monthly meetings. We were granted 501(c)(3) status from the Internal Revenue Service on October 15, 2010. |

The Woodlands Chorale is a community chorus that rehearses and performs in The Woodlands, TX about 23 miles north of Houston. For fifteen years, the chorale was under the umbrella of The Woodlands Symphony and was known as The Woodlands Symphony Chorus. In the Spring of 2009, the symphony ceased performing and the chorus had to make a decision its own future. The core members and artistic director chose to follow their vision to perform beautiful classical and contemporary choral music for our community. |
